Morning Hair

This morning I just wanted my bangs out of my face so I quickly put a hair band on and put it in a pony tail, without a mirror as you can see that.... It is my old long bangs sticking out of the pony tail...

Mom thought that it was so funny and took a picture so I could see. One of those days!

Something Wrong There Justice

Justice has been very very annoying lately...Every night Coyotes bark at night and make a racket... It gets the dogs all fired up and Justice just loves to bark and bark... When the coyotes are finished causing trouble Justice keeps on barking,

He barks and waits to hear another bark. Since we live a mountain you can hear echo's like you wouldn't believe, so Justice keeps on barking and barking, once he did it for 2 hours straight while we were trying to sleep.

I had to get out bed and tell that dog to hush up, of course he doesn't know what I am talking about and keeps on barking, that dog I tell you can have such a personality:)

We got our Water Berky Filter, it is really quite cute I find. Its like a mirror so if I have a hair in my face I will just have to turn around while doing schoolwork and fix my hair...

It can do all kinds of things, it can take out the fluoride and chlorine, all kinds of things you can think of. We have this other serious filter we call it, and it can take out the chemicals, drain mud puddle water into crystal clear water.

We don't use that serious filter we will just use the regular filter. So far we find it to be quite good and handy. We put our drinking water in from down and it was filtering for an hour and we drank the water and it sure did taste bland or should I say different.

Onion Rings

I made some Onion Rings for the family and Darcy arrived later and ate the rest of the onion rings, they all loved it... Last night I made some potato chips again, I made a bag to take to town but I forgot it. Just got in the door from town, it was a long day but it goes so fast.

We were driving on our driveway and I saw a huge huge owl, that was my first time seeing an owl LIVE!!! Sounds funny but true :) Anyways I didn't do a blog post yesterday because I didn't know what to blog about...

Scrabble

Tyrell,Dad, and I played Scrabble and I didn't do to well. Tyrell won first place, Dad second and I well I lost... I used to be good but I never played in such awhile so I didn't do to well...

Anyways I won't be playing Scrabble for a very long time, unless Tyrell whines to me and says that he wants me to play. Dad is really good and is the best at scrabble ( I beat him like 2 times in my life) and Tyrell's strategy was getting me to play and get all the good letters and Dad not so good letters...

Tyrell peaks at my letters and told me to go there and I would get 10 points and I would be landing on the double word score so I would get 20 all in total... He set himself up and he got the letters that I used and put a big word on AND got on the triple and got like 50 points, that's the last time I'm listening to him!!!

Potato Chip Tutorial

Tyrell and I

Mom and Dad went to town to do some things that they need to do, she left me to look after Tyrell. So far so good. In the afternoon we did some schoolwork and a journal.

We did our chores that Mom asked for us to do. We went on our computers for abit then I went outside and just visited the goats. Right now I am making pancakes for supper and just waiting for one to cook... Its sooo hot in here, I will have to open up the door and windows!

I have this place spic and span, I cleaned it so its nice for Mom to come in and not do anything... Gotta go I smell a pancake burning :)

Rodeo-Opoly

Tyrell and I were playing Rodeo-Opoly and it was pretty fun, we didn't know who won because the game took so long so we ended up putting it away. When there is a lot of money in the middle Tyrell and I try and race each other to get it, I of course keep on getting it... The most I got was about 2 thousand dollars and I bought trophies ( in monopoly they use hotels) and so when Tyrell lands on my property he better watch out or else..haha

Town Day Tomorrow

Tomorrow is town day tomorrow, I forgot to mention in the last blog post, that Megan went to go see the eye Doctor and got glasses, since we were there Mom booked Tyrell and I an appointment to see him tomorrow, I asked Megan what he did and she said you just tell him the letters and he has to put eye drops in your eyes to see in the back of they eye.

Megan said the eye drops really hurt... I wonder if I will cry if it hurts that much. Megan is going to come at 8:30 in the morning and I probably will have trouble getting up at 8 ish. I will pack tonight for town so all I have to do in the morning is put on clothes and eat breakfast and out the door I go. I probably have to do a few chores in the morning because some of the baby goats are getting rejected by the Mothers and so they are hungry most of the time.

Sometimes the Moms let them drink so I don't have to bottle feed so much. I finished schoolwork for today, it was pretty fun actually, I did more of the human body, Greek mythology, and french. We are just finishing up the second term and the deadline of sending schoolwork is February 25th. We are going to send it by mail this time because last term we did it by scanning, that was a lot of scanning and some failed and did not go so we decided to go by mail...

Batch Number 3

Our goat Gazelle had triplets at 3 in the morning, Dad heard the dogs barking in the night so he got up and there she was, standing with triplets. Dad came in rushing and said "Mom wake up, Gazelle had little babies!!" We have a little box and have newspaper in it for just born babies because they are all wet and the ears will freeze.

I woke up and went downstairs to help Mom grab the babies, by the time I got down she grabbed all the babies, the last of the triplets was just born so it was very wet and hungry, Mom grabbed a towel and dried off the feet and ears. Mom and I just stared at each other because the little goats were very hungry and we pulled them off the Mamma goat, so I grabbed my coat and said " Come on Mom lets go and milk the wild goat."

You can click here for the information about Gazelle and here.... I was actually quite surprised how good Gazelle came all friendly the past month and a half and she let me milk her!!! That was the first time anyone milked her, although I have to admit she was a bit hard to convince of having my hands on her teats, she didn't really know what really is going on.

Mom and I bottle fed the baby goats and went to bed. When we woke up we had to feed the babies again because they were hungry, I was thinking naming the girls Petunia and Perennial... Mom decided that her and I are going to crochet some little toques for the little baby goats so that the ears don't freeze because 2 or 3 of our goats already have frozen ears.

When I was crocheting Mom went upstairs and grabbed one of her wool socks and cut them so it goes around the goats head to cover the ears and neck. I thought that was brilliant, I still have to make probably 4 more head bands or goat toques...

Baby Goats

Yesterday Mom and Dad came to pick me up at Debbie's. I had a very nice time over there, its like a little mini holiday spending time with my dear friend Alise (niece) and my other niece and nephew. It was a perfect day for me to come home, last night at 10 pm we got to watch little baby goats being born.

Mom had a little towel to dry off their ears when they were born because it was -20 and if we left it damp, the ears would have froze and fall off. We went inside and waited another 10-15 minutes to see if she had another little baby.

Sure enough there was another baby, Mom dried it off and checked what kind of gender it was. They were both twin boys. We have 2 sets of twins that are boys right now. 2 Mama goats giving birth down, 3 more to go...

We set up a little box for the goats to sleep inside because it was getting really cold that we couldn't let them go outside. Mom was milking the goat so that we had milk for the night. Mom and I bottle fed them inside and at first they didn't know what to do but then they got the hang of it.

Working Out

Tyrell and I were exercising together. Tyrell is thinking that we should be stronger so I went along with him. This little activity was called "Bend Overs." You have to stand up and bend your knees all the way to the ground and stand up. Tyrell and I did 310 bend overs.

By the time we were finished our legs were so wiggly and so weak I thought that my legs weren't going to make it up in our little loft. When I was on the stair case Mom was watching my legs go bouncing off the wood, she said that it was pretty funny.

Sledding

For Tyrell's birthday we went over to Craig and Stephanie's to have a family/birthday supper. Craig said that he has a great hill for sledding and is going to make some sledding tracks. When we arrived at Craig and Stephanie's we went sledding right away. I stayed inside just for a little bit with Katie. When we were ready to go outside we suited up.

Craig had a long walk up to the drive way to go to the hill so he hitched a little platform to the quad and all the snow riders pile up onto the platform and away we go to the top of the hill. I grabbed the orange calf sled and went onto the platform and up I went. Katie asked if she could go with me and I accepted.

She said that she will go in the back and I will be placed in the front. I forgot that if you are in front you get the snow all in your face, AND forgot to cover my face so of course I got all drenched in snow. I said to Katie " Do you want to go again?" she nodded so up we went again on the quad. We were stuck because all of the family was on the platform and the quad couldn't take it.

Craig called up Darcy to sit on the back of the quad for weight and the wheels gripped to the snow and we made it up half way until the front wheels gave up. Craig called up Jesse to sit on the front rack of the quad to see if it was going to make it up the hill.  Luckily with the boys weight we made it up. Mom was on the platform as well and laughed.

Katie and I went on the calf sled for a very long time. The calf sled was the fastest sled we had over all of the sleds. Second round Katie placed me in front AGAIN and of course I forgot to duck my head so she yelled " DUCK YOUR HEAD KAYLEE." so I did. We had went onto the deep snow and we crashed. I had a toque over my head and it went over my eyes so I couldn't see very well, so I stood up and Katie moved the sled onto the tracks.

Of course I couldn't see very well, so I tried to go onto the sled and slipped and fell. Craig and Stephanie went on a tube that can go very fast as well and Katie glanced at the sled and just grabbed me by the hood and dragged me down so the couldn't run over me. It was a little to late, I was ran over just by the legs.

We went sledding for a very long time until it was sundown. We went inside to warm up and dry our clothes and had a nice hot chocolate with little marshmallows on it. Megan, Katie, Alise, and I went to play "Life" we didn't really get a chance to play the whole game because it was supper.

We had turkey with gravy,buns,drinks, and chips. We sang happy birthday to Tyrell and had cake and he opened up his birthday presents. He was really excited that he got a gift certificate to Corlanes. It is a hunting store with all kinds of things for boys to be overwhelmed.







Schoolwork

A wonderful "Math" day happened in the afternoon. I am learning about fractions and and there is a lot of division taking place. I am enjoying math as well as english. I wonder what math lesson will be next.
